Automated PowerPoint Generation with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore
Amazon Web Services (AWS) introduced a solution using Bedrock AgentCore that automates PowerPoint presentation creation from enterprise documents. This workflow leverages AI models, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), content safety guardrails, and can be integrated via REST APIs for enterprise use cases.
What changed?
Amazon Bedrock AgentCore now enables automated generation of complete PowerPoint presentations from enterprise documents. The reference solution uses a supervisor agent, built with the Strands Agents framework and hosted on AgentCore, to orchestrate content extraction, summarization, AI image creation, and presentation assembly. It integrates Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.6 for content generation, Amazon Titan Text Embeddings v2 for semantic retrieval, and Stability AI models for images. Core infrastructure includes a .NET 8 minimal REST API, AWS Lambda, Bedrock Guardrails for safety, OpenSearch Serverless for vector storage, and enforcement of security best practices. Presentations are generated in under 90 seconds and grounded in source documents.

Why does it matter to an everyday developer?
Developers can now automate a previously time-consuming workflow—producing detailed, source-grounded PowerPoint presentations from large bodies of documents. This is especially relevant for teams in finance, legal, consulting, or compliance who routinely transform lengthy reports and documents into structured, client-ready slides. The solution is modular: developers can orchestrate or extend its tools using familiar coding patterns in .NET, Python, Lambda, and AWS CDK. Security and compliance are prioritized through Guardrails, IAM, KMS, and VPC isolation, making it suitable for regulated organizations.
What can the developer do now?
Developers can deploy this automation workflow in their AWS environments, provided they have access to Bedrock AgentCore, Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.6, Amazon Titan Text Embeddings v2, and related AWS services. The public sample repository offers code assets and step-by-step deployment guides. Developers should ensure that OpenSearch Serverless collection data remains publicly accessible, as private endpoints are not supported by Bedrock Knowledge Bases. API Gateway timeouts must be raised to at least 300 seconds for end-to-end presentation automation to function without interruption. Additional tools and functionalities can be added by defining new tools in the agent configuration. This provides a template architecture and codebase for automating large-scale document-to-presentation conversion and integrating secure, AI-powered document workflows into enterprise systems.
