LiteLLM v1.105.0: Docker Image Signing and New Integrations
LiteLLM v1.105.0 introduces cryptographic Docker image signing, enhanced provider and integration support (including xAI and Sail), budget alerting, and new safety mechanisms for proxy rate limiting and configuration cleanup.
What changed?
LiteLLM v1.105.0 now cryptographically signs all Docker images with cosign, allowing verification via a commit hash or release tag public key. The release also adds native support for xAI batches and files, a new Sail provider with mapped service tiers, Databricks Zerobus trace logging integration, configurable email budget alerts, fail-closed proxy rate limiting with Redis, and maximum_daily_tag_spend_retention_period proxy cleanup.
Why does it matter to an everyday developer?
- Docker users can now verify image integrity and provenance before deployment, reducing supply-chain risks.
- Native integration with xAI and Sail makes it easier to connect to new providers and manage advanced batch and completion workflows.
- Budget management is simplified with configurable email alerts based on usage percent thresholds for team members.
- Security and resiliency improve as the proxy will now reject requests with 503 if rate limiting counters are unavailable, rather than failing open.
